Proud Patriotic Powder Springs
The HDMAPS (Historic Downtown Merchants Association of Powder Springs) newest project for our town is an opportunity for the citizens of Powder Springs to honor special people in their lives with the purchase of an American Flag.
Flags are being flown on Marietta Street in the historic downtown area. This beautiful display is the work of HDMAPS members and we would like to extend the flags up Marietta Street and display during other special holidays such as: Memorial Day, Veterans Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and any other appropriate holidays.
Now the citizens can be involved by purchasing the same size flag in memory or honor of someone special.
The cost of each flag will include: 3' x 5 'flag, pole, ground anchor, inscription on plaque to be mounted on pole, maintenance, installation on appropriate holidays and storage of all flags. Total cost $ 45.00 each.
We will place the flags approximately every 30' along Marietta Street in the historic downtown area from Brownsville Road to New Macland Road, on the holidays mentioned above.
The flag sales will be on a first come, first serve bases, because of limited space, so please order your flag early.
